Dear Ambi,

You can check if HTTPS is active in your system, by looking at your browser’s address bar: if the URL you use to access applications starts with: ‘https://’, HTTPS is active in your system.

Even if HTTPS is active in your system, check the items below:

Check transaction SMICM for an HTTPS service

  1. Call transaction SMICM (Internet Communications Manager Monitor) and select: Goto -> Services.
  2. Check if an HTTPS service is active.

If an HTTPS service is not active, consult the SAP NetWeaver documentation for instructions on setting up HTTPS communication.
If both HTTP and HTTPS services are active in your system, consider using HTTPS exclusively.

Check table HTTPURLLOC to ensure use of HTTPS with the SAP Web Dispatcher or other reverse proxy servers

Call transaction SE16 (Data Browser) and view the contents of table HTTPURLLOC.

If there are no entries in this table, and you do not use a SAP Web Dispatcher or another reverse proxy server, you do not need to perform any other actions.

If there are entries in this table, check if there are entries for the HTTPS protocol. If there are only entries for the HTTP protocol, add entries for the HTTPS protocol.
If there are entries for both HTTP and HTTPS, consider using HTTPS exclusively, or changing the sort sequence, to make HTTPS the default protocol.

See the SAP documentation for further information about the use and maintenance of table HTTPURLLOC.

With best regards,

Alexander

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for the reply, we trying to post report incidence in SAP OSS portal logging with our S-USER account ID but unfortunately we are unable the portal directing to the above screen and requesting for the credential, after giving the required inputs we get error ( refer Screen shot).

I have verified FYI connection

* SICF and navigated to path ( SAP/BC/Webdynapro) the connection are active

*SMICM and verified the Https service is running – the status is green

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8052,TIMEOUT=240,PROCTIMEOUT=600

icm/server_port_1 = PROT=SMTP,PORT= 25000

icm/server_port_2 = PROT=IIOP, PORT=55207

icm/server_port_3 = PROT=TELNET,PORT=55208,HOST=localhost

icm/server_port_4 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=0,TIMEOUT=120,PROCTIMEOUT=120

Hi Ambi,

Please check the following notes

1857366 - No Switch to HTTPS occurred

1979522 - Incorrect warning - No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password

Resolution

Execute transaction code SICF -> navigate to the webdynpro ABAP node from the application you're facing the issue, then:

"Error Pages" tab -> "Logon Errors" -> "System Logon" radio button -> "Configuration" button.

In the "Actions During Logon" section, the dropdown box "Protocol" should have value "Logon via HTTPS".

  1. If HTTPS/SSL is not needed, then the following two options are possible:
    • Change the protocol to "Do Not Switch"
    • Select "Do Not Display Warnings"

Also, the reverse proxy/load balancer that is between the client and the ABAP server should make sure that the header field 'clientprotocol' is set to HTTPS.

You will find the more information in the above notes.

Please close this thread if this address your issues.

Thanks
