SAP QM unable to pick Code group & code in creation of defect in QA32

Hi every one,

I am new to QM , can any one guide me to solve this issue.

In T code QA32 after results recording, am trying to maintain defect document of one of reject MIC. But, i am unable to pick Code group or code. System showing error "Code group QM-Q contradicts the code group of the catalog profile "

Ru maintain the Notification F2 for same inspection type in customization settings???

system showing this error when inspection type not having any Notification type in customization/some other Notification maintained with any catalog profile .

Yes now its working, I maintained Notification type in Inspection type.

Dear SL,

You can enter only those code group which you have maintained in catalog profile in customization.

Hi Saurabh,

Thank you for immediate reply.

Let me explain in detail.

1. In QS21 maintained Catalog type as 'Z' & catalog group as 'QM-Q' and defect codes for

• General                - QM-A NR
• Upper. spec. Limit - QM-A UL
• Lower. spec. Limit - QM-A LL

2. In QS41  for catalog 'Z' & Catalog.Group 'QM-Q' maintained codes LL & UL.

3. In QS51 for selected group 'QM-Q' maintained code group & code as mentioned in 2nd step.

Now, while creating defect document, nothing displayed in code group.

Please correct me if I missed any thing.

From where you are creating defect document. can you elaborate it. can you post its picture.

In QS41 enter

Catalog          9

Code group      *

enter

you get screen to create new data.

click on new entries  and enter the defect code group and description and status releas,

then slect the code grouip and double clcik on codes  then you get screen to enter the codes (F5).

enter the code and save.

check in with lot

Check below path and let me know what settings you have maintained.

Now, Also check your Catalogs profile, You have to maintain Catalog "Z" for the same catalog profile.

Sorry actually it is Character. document, but in earlier mailed i was mentioned as defect document.

Creating Defect document in QA32 after maintaining results & after Valuate.

Hello Srinivas,

Yes, you have to assign Catalogs Profile Z to notification type F2,

and before that you also have to Maintain Catalog "Z" in Catalogs profile "Z". (Use nomenclature with some format, naming every new thing as "Z" is not a good idea.)

Check out 2nd screenshot provided by me, Replace 9 for Problems with "Z".

Dear srinivas,

When you record defect and click on defect recording then you get Report Type and that report type is assigned to plant and work center. So report type is triggered from here.

And report consist catalog profile and confirmation profile. Check what you have assigned there. And then do it again.

I maintained Report Type @ plant & work center level, still getting same error.

pls go through screenshots, correct me if I missed anything.

At work center level, should I maintain work center name or *. My doubt is if I maintain work center name, then it will be limited to that particular work center only. what about other work centers.
