SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Installation

Hi,

Please help to suggest which media that I need for SolMan Installation, I already read Master Guide and Media List for SolMan 7.1 but I can't came up with what exactly media do I need to use for installation.

I plan to install as central system which is Windows 2008 R2 and Sybase ASE 15.7. I follow this link (https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/swdc) then follow as this (Installations and Upgrades - S" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1) then choose Installation->Windows->SAP ASE then it's show a lot of media to use but I can't figure which I need.

I want to install from scratch (not an update) and plan to have DB into SolMan separate from ERP. One other thing, which way do I should go between SWPM10 or SAPinst?

Hi Pongjit,

I can't help you with the media you need, because I don't have Sybase ASE available. But basically you will need the installation export, Java components, SL CONTROLLER 720, Kernel media, RDBMS media and language media if you need it.

To install SAP Solution Manager 7.1 you should use the 70SWPM10SP05_5-20009707 media, in which is contained the sapinst program.

The language media in case you are gojng to install another language different from English and German.

You send SAP NetWeaver 7.4 incl. SR1 master guide, but Pongjit is asking about SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and besides he is telling that he has read the master guide before opening the question.
