Hello Friends,
We are setting up new plant for cross docking only.We would like to set up in such a way that its(plant) stock is excluded from customer order availability check.
Can some one advise.
Thank you.
Assuming that you dont want a particular plant for sales related activities, dont assign that plant in OVX6, so that system will ignore that plant during ATP check.

Hello Friends,
Sorry for delay in reply. I assigned plant to Inter/Intra company sales organization and DC.

Set SLoc MRP Indicator (MARD-DISKZ) in the MRP 4 tab of the Material Master to "1" or "2". This would ensure that the material at plant level is not considered for availability check. You may have to set it for a few materials on yur system though which would be a disadvantage....

Hi John,
When you setting up new plant same material extend with the new plant, when you extend the same material in new pant you have to maintain the same availability check which is maintain with the same material in different plant, system will check the availability of new plant also at the time of sales order creation.

Hi John,
Please try to assign KP as the availability check option in the material master for the required plant.
Please let me know for any further queries in this regard.
