User Creation in Netweaver

Hi All,

We have to create users in our Netweaver, which will be used for login in MII. Currently we are creating one by one. But, is there any way to upload the user list from excel ? Kindly guide us on the same.

Your best bet is to do a small export of the data you want to migrate to get the format you need and then write a small script or program to convert your excel into the right text format. I have used a blt in the past and dumped the text right onto the tracer.

Hi Aravinth,

As of Netweaver 7.31 there is an option to upload text files having user information in a text format.

You can also download user data as a text file.

Can you please, provide me the format of the user information text file ? We need to create some 100+ users in Netweaver, so will it create users if I fill up the text file and upload in Netweaver ?

Hi Aravinth,

Yes it will create the users. To get the correct format of users on your system

Goto http://<host>:<port>/useradmin

Search for users. Select more than one user and click on "Export".

A text file will be exported. After that you can edit the text file and fill the details of all users you want to create.

You will see an option to upload the text file in useradmin menu itself.
