Crystal reports cannot be displayed: CR400

Hi All,

I have recently upgraded my NW 7.20 system to 7.40 and GRC from 10.0 to 10.1

After the upgrade, I noticed that when i try and generate a report via NWBC I get the below error:

Crystal reports cannot be displayed: CR400 (RD3/000015)

Message no. SALV_BOQT004

Diagnosis

Crystal Reports cannot be displayed. There can be multiple reasons for this.

System Response

The table view will be restored.

Procedure

Look up the exception class or error code CR400 in composite SAP Note 1371966 for more detailed information on how to correct the error. If the error code is not listed, open a message on component BC-WD-CMP-ALV-ABA.

Exception Class/Error Code:

CR400

Exception Text:

Crystal Control: Report could not be generated

SAPERROR_MESSAGE","Invalid generic report layout. The directory name is invalid.

The method I used which generated the error.


Steps to reproduce error:

Transaction NWBC:

Browser will open: Click NWBC

Click “Reports and Analytics”:

  1. Click Cross Cutting Report --> Personalize --> Personalize General Reporting Settings

Make sure Report Output is as below then “Save

  1. Click “Go” --> Print or Export -->

Then the error occurs.

The SAPCrystal.dll file which the error message in the attached is referring to resides in c:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\

Version : SAPCrystal.dll: 7.1200.33

Have you activated crystal reports? please check.
