Fiori Launchpad Admin Page Problem - "Select a tile template" page - only News Tile visible

Hi,

we just upgraded our Fiori to Wave2 and want to create a new catalog at the Fiori Launchpad Admin Page.

After creating a new catalog we want to add a tile - so we choose the "+" button to get to the "Select a tile template" - there's the problem. We only can create a news tile - but there should be 3 more options which are not available for us.

Please see the screenshot - there are 3 buttons missing.

We double checked the configuration but can't find something mission. Nay idea what is wrong. Our GW is NW 7.4 and we installed the newest UI SP 08

Hi Dominik,

Please make sure you have applied the mandatory notes.

• 1957334 - Corrections for SAP NetWeaver UI Add-On 1.0 SP08
• 2010406 - UI theme designer for ABAP: Version 1.2.2

The UI5 library notes point to other notes. You should go through the note description carefully.

the first Note is not relevant for us, because we use NW 7.4

The second we installed but the problem is still there - we only see "News Tile".

Do you have any other idea?

Hi Masa,

thank you for your help. Dominik is my co-worker and he's curently on vacation.

We've applied all the notes above, but still have the problem that we only see the "News" tile.

Furthermore we are confused about the entries in the spam transaction. We'd like to check the ui controls, that mentioned in the help page: Installation of Central UI Components - SAP Fiori for SAP ERP 1.0 - SAP Library

For example the IW_BEP SC is marked as not installed, but the ocs as imported. The details unter SP 7 show the light grey x which means that the ocs package is obsolete.

Do you have further hints for solution?

Additional question: The Launchpad should display the four tile templates by default in Gateway version 7.4, right?

Hi Kai,

IW_BEP is for backend and it does not have any relation with this launchpad issue.

thanks for your hint.

Our administrator fixed the wrong installed backend packages.

We've installed the Group C, please also refer the image in my previous post for detail Information about installed software components. The UISRA* was installed with wave 1.

With wave2 we installed ui components for UIX01EAP, UIX01TRV, UIX01HCM(still errors).

But should not have the SAP GW 7.4 the catalog X-SAP-UI2-CATALOGPAGE:/UI2/FLPD_CATALOG, without installing further ui components? I understand that the FLPD_CATALOG is the default catalog with the four template tiles, isn't it? This catalog does not exist in our system.

Hi Kai,

Please check the table /UI2/CHIP_CHDR. Is there any error info?

many thanks, there was an error :

After calling transaction se38 and run the report /UI2/CHIP_SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE, all template tiles are available.

I'll tell Dominik to mark this as solved!
