Hi Team,

Where can we check the rule in ATP ,,ie, the percentage specified for allocating the stock to the customers.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks,

You have not explained clearly what is your current configuration.  In normal circumstances, stock would not be reserved against specific customer / sale order.  Once the required stock is produced, production team would transfer the stock to Unrestricted Storage Location.  Of course, via configuration, you can allocate stock against particular customer or sale order.  Please search the forum how to achieve this.  Alternatively, I am not sure, whether you are looking for Product Allocation functionality.  Please search in Google with this topic.

Hi,

The whole idea is to migrate the allocation process in SAP. Currently what we are doing, while receiving the customer orders for a month, during the start of a month, we are equally allocating the ready stock and incoming stock to the customers. This process is currently in excel which is creating a head ache. Now need to bring the process in system. Can it be done by ATP or should we use product allocation method here?

Thanks for your advice.

Hi Vijesh,

Unfortunately there is no functionality of equally distributing the stock to the order based on business decisions which will vary from time to time.

However, the orders towards the customer requirements can be prioritized using back order processing.

Please let me know for any specific queries in this regard.

Hi,

If there is no such functionality, then how the ATP concept will work when we have the requirement from different customers which is more than the existing/incoming orders. Is there any other formula to divide the stock to the customers?

Thanks for the help.

It is possible;for example, if your organisation provides toys, you may want to ensure that your products are distrubuted evenly at Christmas time rather than having once of your customers getting all the stock (thus having a monopoly on the product).

However, your question is far too generic to give you specific feedback. To get the behaviour you want, you need to implement the PAL functionality. More information on this can be found in SAP Help (https://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/93/744d12546011d1a7020000e829fd11/content.htm).
