I am facing an issue with the BW process chain and when I checked for the logs, I have encountered the below very high priority error:
Database error -54 at EXE
> POS(1) Lock collision
Can someone help me fix this?

It looks like MAXLOCKS values has reached and system returns a collision message.
You may analyse the lock situation using the path below
In transaction DB50, choose "Problem analysis -> SQL-Locks -> Overview
More informaiton on lock situaton is explained in below SAP note.

You may need to increase the value of MAXLOCKS and then check the results.
