Hi All,
When the first time i am trying to open the ESR it has shown a popup like 'Downloading File'.After the files are sucessfully downloaded i waited for long time, But its doesn't opened. And i didnt get any errors. Still i am not able to open the ESR in my system even it not showing any errors.
(Java is already installed with latest)
Could any one please suggest me in this issue.
Thanks
Swetha.
Hi Pavan,
Let us start over.
1. The java version comaptible- JRE 6 update 31 and JRE 6 update 45. ( use anyone). Please re-install if you already have it.
2. clear the browsing history of browser and also clear temporary files run->%temp%.
3. As all suggest clear java cache using any of the methods suggested above.
4. Restart the system and try opening esr. (even log off and log on works fine).
5. if it asks for a program to open with- browse to c:\program files\Java\Jre\bin\javaws.exe . select this and open.
6. if your network bandwidth is low it may take 10~12 mins to open. Please wait. ( To confirm whether it is running go to task manager-> processes and look for a process javaw )... if javaw process is running then your esr is getting opened and you must wait.
Thanks & Regards,
Vikas

Hi Swetha,
Please answer below queries:
1)What is the version of your SAP PI System?
2)Is it a single or dual stack system ?
3)Are you facing similar issue for ID as well?
Also check if there is some issue with your Java Web Start and try to troubleshoot as mentioned in below link.

Hi Pavan
On Windows you can try to clear the java cache by
Go to Start -> Run -> cmd and enter the command:
Javaws -viewer
and then clear the existing jnlp file, close the cache viewer and try to open the ESR.
Also you have mentioned in the your intial comment that:
shown a popup like 'Downloading File'.After the files are sucessfully downloaded
so, did you tried to double click the downloaded .jnlp file and select the program as "jawaws" for startup?
Regards
VJ
