Hi All,
Kindly clear ma doubts regarding APT. As per ma knowledge, APT will check the incoming production order and the date of delivery will be based on the end date of production, which is based on the routing functionality .
In our case, we are not running MRP for glassware items, so that the date in the production order is not the actual availability date of the item. But to work with APT ,can we create a filed in MM to update the availability and to support ATP, (ATP should consider that date for delivery date calculation).
Thanks to advise if it is possible .
Thanks,
Vijesh
"so that the date in the production order is not the actual availability date of the item."
"Production orders are creating manually so the end date of the items are not accurate( routing is not correct)."
An obvious question springs to mind; why are your production orders not accurate? Even if you create the production orders manually, they should still calculate accurate dates.
What date do you want the production order to be considered available?

Hi Noel,
You are correct, the ideal way is to correct the routing system and run MRP..But it is not easy due to the complexity in our production process. This is the reason why i was thinking to plug the actual avaialability date somewhere in MM and bring that field as the source for APT checking.
It is ok to close this issue as this is not the standard to deal with ATP.
Thanks,
Vijesh
I think the best solution for you would be to ensure a correct routing. Certianly, looking at adding custom fields etc. to the ATP process would just add more complexity.
Another field that may be useful would be the Goods Receipt processing time in AFPO - this would have an influence on the date that the production order is considered available (dont know how it might fit into your process though).
Pls help

Hi,
The reason why we need is it because we are not running MRP for finished goods and semifinished goods. Production orders are creating manually so the end date of the items are not accurate( routing is not correct). But still we would like to do ATP for ready goods and production orders.
Thanks,
Vijesh
