SAPINST not identifying Oracle installed on server

Former Member

Hi

I am doing NW java stack 7.3 install on Lixunx86_64 bit server

When i am doing the SAP database instance install , SAPINST pops up to

install Oracle 11g .

I used the SAP DVD 51041939 to do the Oracle install.

But after successful completion of Oracle install , when i ask SAPINST to

move forward , it states that ORACLE is not installed and does not move

forward.

Plz let me know if the DVD i used for Oracle 11g install on Linuxx86_64

server for NW7.3 is correct .

If yes why SAP is not identifying Oracle installed on server.

Regards

Tushar

Hi

During the SAPinst you may require to install the Oracle client on Application host. and also you can add the db & application host name in the local host file
