Defect Correction, Solman 7.1

Hi Folks,

I have configured Defect Correction, everything is working fine.

But I have 2 queries regarding DC :-

1) Categories field in Defect Correction is greyed out. Why ? Any Idea? Am I missing any configuration for ZMTM

Please note I have done all the configuration changes and Categories are editable in ZMCR, ZMIN transactions but same is not visible in ZMTM (copy of SMTM, however if I open SMTM transaction, then Categories are editable)

2) Transport of Copies creation is not supported in Defect Correction. Right ? Because while doing Informal Testing, I found that no TCOPs are being created specifically, I have to import original TRs manually via Task List.

you need to assign MLC to your transaction type in SM_CRM - Categorization schemas

I already have MLC created

Do I need to have defect correction specifically assigned in MLC ?

i don't see any defect correction option in MLC

Hi Ankit,

Yes it is required first to assign in spro like mentioned in the link i.e. 4.1 topic

and then you can see it in the MLC where you can assign it.

yes, configuration is already in place,

I have copied same for ZMTM transaction too, but cateogories are still not editable.

Hi Ankit,

Just creating a custom transaction type doesn't mean that you can see the MLC

you need to perform all the steps relevant in the Wiki link of MLC

so perform all the steps and when you applied the MLC version with ZMTM assigned then you can see them enabled.

I think everything is covered ,pl let me know if I am missing anything.

I think there is one table whch eeds to be updated, because although I change properties of categories in WEB UI, but it is somehow I think is taking by default values, not ZSOLMANPRO values.

Hi Ankit

in the CRM UI I can't see your transaction type is it assigned here. I don't know its description but you can switch on the Key in configuration mode to see the transaction next to description.

I think you have standard ones' assigned and not the zmtm..please check
