Hi,
We have a problem in "SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0" system.
Every weekend , a job which runs BI_PROCESS_COMPRESS job runs for a very long time increasing the transaction log % beyond threshold and we have to kill the job.
System details :
Database system DB6
Operating system AIX
SAP Kernel : 720_EXT_REL
Kernel Patch number : 201
The job log is shown as below.

The job is cancelled as we received many alerts due to ccm4x.
This happens every weekend.
What does the job " BI_PROCESS_COMPRESS' actually do?
How can we overcome this?

BI_PROCESS_COMPRESS is a BI job for Cube compression.
please check with BI if it can be scheduled with split in variant so that one job doe's not do everything.
