Hi Experts

If I stop Livecache in LC10, only SQL access is coming down but DBM access is not totally. Though I can see the message "Live cache is successfully stopped".

How to bring down the DBM access along with SQL access for LC 7.9

I would appreciate your help and guidance

Thanks in advance

Hi Daniel,

Livecache runs on MaxDB database. So inorder to make MaxDB database down, you can use DBMGUI or Database studio tool to connect to database and stop it.

Hope this helps.

Use Tx LC10 to stop LiveCache.

Use MaxDB Database Studio to check the status of the database.

Use the studio to stop and start the database.

Hi Experts,

Need your quick support.. Please

If we stop livecache in LC10, should both the SQL and DB access show as " No" (or) only SQL access stopped and DBM access still showing as "Yes" is fine?

for me only SQL access shows No and DBM access "Yes" even after successfully the livecache in LC10.

Note : In Maxdb studio the database showing as stopped but at the OS level few servers are running after x_server stop as well.

I would appreciate your support.

Thanks in advance

Did you check the status of the MaxDB database using DB Manager or Studio ?

If the Manager/Studio shows the status as down then the DB is down.

X_SERVER is a service or process that should be running at the OS level in order to connect to the database using the DB Manager or Studio.

Even after stopping maxdb database in LC10 and X_SERVER at the OS level , I could see some of the dbm services are running,.,why.

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance

How can I clarify your question when your question lacks clarity ?

Have you provided any information about what those processes are ?

You should provide more details if you need help.
