Component "XXXX" already exists in compartment "YYYY_1"

Hi,

I was having problems with a component it gets corrupted I guess and I've deleted it (I never checked-in it) as follows:

  1. Reverting files from activity: under _comp and .dcref
  2. Creating new DTR client into my NWDS
  3. Deleting the folder from DTR web UI.
  4. Checking-in the activity created from DTR web UI.
  5. Activating the activity through CBS web UI.

Then I'm trying to create a component with the same name and the wizard gives an error: Component "XXXXX" already exists in compartment "YYYY_1"

Do I have to perform some other activities for deletion?

Regards,

Gregory.

I've forgot to say:

  1. The DC was created with my user.
  2. The deletion of DC and handling of the activity was done with NWDI_CMSADM user.
  3. The activity name is /act/NWDI_CMSADM_webUI_1401482889410 and its state is closed.
  4. In CBS web UI the activity is activated.
  5. I've released the activity through the CMSTOOL.
  6. I've imported the activity in CMS DEV and CONS tabs.
  7. I've restarted the NWDS several times.
  8. The DC isn't shown either by DTR perspective or DI pespective.
  9. After a system restart the error persists.

I sincerelly don't know what else to do.

Gregory.

go to dtr web UI

navigate to the "inactive" node of your sc

you will see two folders "DCs" and "SCs"

select  "SCs"  and go deeper, you will find a folder "TopLevelDCs"

delete that dc there.

Hi Jun Wu, thanks for your answer.

I've already deleted he .dcref file under TopLevelDCs folder.

As I can't dedicate more time to this, I'll create the DC with another name.

I've solved this problem.

Everytime I did refresh the components list the Component Browser on NWDS were showing the deleted component as local (blue house icon) and and then it'd disappear.

So one of this appearences I delete the DC from Component Browser and everything works.

Regards,

Gregory.
