SAP Lumira server refresh

How does data refresh work for SAP lumira server for UNX /SQL data sources? Do we need to publish new datasets manually or server has direct DB connectivity ( similar to BO universes). The details around data refresh is bit thin around SAP Lumira Server.

Right now for Lumira Server this is not supported as data is in HANA.

In an upcoming release of Lumira add-on to BI 4.1 platform (which requires Lumira Server and HANA), refreshing universe based data source is planned.

No it's not 1.16. We will be making an announcement at Sapphire of the details and then on SCN shortly after.  Based on the current planning, it will require:

- Lumira Server 1.17

- HANA 1.0 SP8 (pre-req for Lumira Server)

- BI 4.1 SP3

- SAP BusinessObjects BI, add-on for SAP Lumira (a.k.a "Lumira add-on")

However the plan is subject to change. I hope to be able to provide more concrete timelines within two weeks but it should be coming soon.

Do you have BI 4.1 SP3 environment?

Hello Sharon,

I'm using SAP Lumira Server on HANA (version 1.19).

How does data refresh work ? Do we need to publish new datasets manually or server has direct DB connectivity to HANA analysis view and refresh automatically when we open a Story?
