Hello All,

My client want to update all the interfaces in XI 3.0 to PI 7.4 single stack version.

Can anybody throw some lite on how to upgrade to PI 7.4?

What are the impacts and issues might face?

Thanks

Hi Sridhar,

An upgrade is not possible. You will have to migrate the interfaces or do a new implementation.

We are currently doing a migration from PI 7.0 to 7.31 Single stack.

If you have anymore questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Hi Sridhar,

If you are upgrading to 7.4 then you might be able to migrate existing content using the migration tool that is now available in the 7.4 release.

You can access it as follows:

1) From http://host:port/pimon go to the Configuration and Admin tab:

This blog also really helps with the migration process and explains exactly what can and can not be migrated using the tooling:

Hi Sidhar,

First of all you can follow the documents to the upgrade to PI 7.31 single stack version because PI 7.31 and PI 7.4 are very similar . You can read this document

I recommend that you have particular care with:

1. ccBPM scenarios, that they dont exists in single stack version

2. XSL and java mapping migration. Different java version can produce problems during the migration.

3. Configuration in ID is different. Read documentation about  the Integration Configuration Object in order to understand the new configuration environment
