Use of Creatable ,Updateable and deletable checkbox for entityset in ODATA

Hi Experts,

i have created one entityset without specifying creatable,updateable and deletable checkbox, and i am able to perform create,update and delet  entity operation. Then what is the use of those checkbox.

Refer this document and Creating Data Objects - SAP NetWeaver Gateway - SAP Library and Entity Sets - SAP NetWeaver Gateway Foundation (SAP_GWFND) - SAP Library

Check for the default value mentioned in for creatble, updateble etc attributes.

i checked that link but based on documentation "if we want to perform create operation on an entity then check creatable check box". But without checking that check box also we can create an entity.

Then for what purpose will check that check box.

if you mark those checkboxes, it will be seen in service metatdata definition. As per my understanding, it helps user to understand from metadata definition that which operations are supported by OData service explicitly. also please refer
