ERROR: access denied for tp SLD_UC from host

Hi All,

I have just noticed that after upgrading the kernel to 7.20 and applying reginfo and secinfo details as per an early watch report that I am getting the above error from all servers but solution manager itself (SLD_UC is registered on solman).

I used the Goto > Expert Functions > External Security > Create (reginfo) function to create the file and selected all the listed entries to populate the file.

There was a SAP note 1592493 that said these entries :-

# system entries for 720 compatibility

P TP=* HOST=internal CANCEL=internal ACCESS=internal

P TP=* HOST=local    CANCEL=local    ACCESS=local

Should be placed at the end of the reginfo file and in this order.  These where near the top when the file was generated and in the reverse order.  So I moved them to the end and changed the ordering, however this hasn't made any difference.

The logging in SMGW shows this error when I try to test the RFC from a different host :-

reginfo denied client: TP=SLD_UC, ACCESS=<server name>

Current entries for SLD_UC are thus :-

P TP=SLD_UC HOST=local CANCEL=local ACCESS=*

P TP=SLD_NUC HOST=<solman ip> CANCEL=<solman ip> ACCESS=*

I even tried commenting out them out and replacing them with :-

P TP=SLD_UC HOST=* CANCEL=* ACCESS=*

Then reloading the reginfo file but this doesn't stop the error from occurring.

How do I get this to work?

Thanks

Craig

UPDATE

I found the issue after adding gw/sim_mode to the instance profile from sap note 1689663.

However I also spotted this near the top of the reginfo file.

# system entry for host: solman_SMS_00

P TP=* HOST=<solman IP> CANCEL=<solman IP> ACCESS=<solman IP>

After moving this to the bottom along with all the others I mentioned seems to have solved the problem.

Cheers

Craig
