How SAP manage attachment file that are stored in physical path or stored in Database table

Hi Basis Expert,

As we know, SAP has attachment function to attach picture or document file in Material Master, PR, PO or other transactions.

We are concerning about a big data in SAP server from these attachments.

We don't know How SAP manage attachment file that are stored in physical path or stored in Database table.

Please kindly guide me or give me some document or path.

Is it possible to change attachment path from SAP server to other server.

Hi Saiya,

You can Use the DMS (Document Management Server) for saving the attachment of document or picture.After set-up of DMS their is need to do some configuration for saving the attachment on DMS server instead of ECC.
