SAP GUI 7.30 for Windows and IE11 - HTML Export

Hi everyone,

We run SAP GUI 7.30 patch 7 for Windows with IE8.  When using the "export to HTML" function via the "System -> List -> Save" menu option, the output appears to render "correctly" when being displayed in IE8 (eg font sizes are good and layout is good).

We are now in the process of upgrading the desktops to IE11, however have noticed that the same HTML output that rendered correctly in IE8 seems to render differently in IE11.  Specifically the font size appears very small in IE11 compared to IE8.  I've attached a couple of screenshots for comparison.

We are running a mixture of NetWeaver 7.x environments on the backend.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Is there a fix for this?

  Is it Windows 7 with IE11 64 bit version ?

Win7 and IE11 are both 32bit.

Thanks for your info

Kindly follow the settings in IE 11 and then check the web page

1. To open the IE Developer Tools press F12
2. On left side change to the options "Emulation"
3. Change the "Documents modus" to 5
4. Change the "Browser Agent" to "Internet Explorer 7"

Have you checked that your servers basis versions are compatible with IE11?

Hi Shaun,

Have you looked at the configuration in IE11? The default configuration might be be set to use the smaller fonts. Are the fonts "smaller" when using IE11 to browse various websites (ie: non SAP related)?

Hi Elder,

Websites appear to render correctly with no obvious difference in font.  So far only the SAP export to HTML output appears to render "smaller".
