Livecache LOG WRITING - off

Hi Experts/Gurus,

After livecache upgrade, I can see LOG WRITING went to off state and Redo log management in "deactivated" condition

How to turn it ON and activate the Redo log management.

searched in many places, dont find anything exactly.

I would appreciate your help and guidance on the same.

Hi Daniel,

For starting the log writer ON

              Switch the database to the ADMIN operation status.

              Execute the following DBM command:

             util_execute SET LOG WRITER ON

Redo Log settings in MaxDB can be changed in the Database Manager GUI by choosing

Configuration -> Log Settings

Before and after turning ON the LOG WRITER , anything has to be done?..some precaution steps..will the command directly turn ON the LOG WRITER or any inputs to be given?

In LC10, the Database manager is in disabled mode, please tell me how to proceed now.

Hi Daniel,

Once you change the setting then schedule full backup of database.

As per my response earlier

Redo Log settings in MaxDB can be changed in the Database Manager GUI by choosing

Configuration -> Log Settings

Please check and perform the changes.
