Is it possible if a Background scheduled job is in Cancellation status but spool is generated?

Hi Experts,

Need help regarding the issue with the background scheduled job.

Is it possible to get spool list even when the job is in cancellation status?

i have checked in ST22 transaction for error analysis but didn't find anything for particular time frame.

Instead we observe some syslog in SM21.

Following is log which we observe in SM21.

Please help in this regards.

Hello ,

It depends on the progress of the job by the time it terminates.

If the job has processed some data and it was designed to generate spool  for the processed data,it will generate the spool by the time it get cancelled.

You should be able to see all spool output from the start of the job up until the time it aborted.  It depends on the program(s) running whether there is any.

If you want to know why the job failed, I would start with the job log.

Its not possible to get Spool, when BG is cancelled/incompete.

More importanly you can identify root cause by debugging background job using JDBG.
