Have a signal in issue a layer change event

Hi everyone,

I have two IViews (one Webapp, one Visual Composer) communicate via EPCM. Now if the VC view receives an event via its signal in, I'd like a query to be executed and a layer to be switched. Unfortunately, you cannot connect a signal in with a layer. I tried to connect the signal in to a form which then in turn would send the necessary event to change layers (when the form receives the new data from the signal in), but it only seems to raise events on manual input.

Anyone an idea?

Thanks for your help,

Tilman

Hi Tilman,

Jan & Sven told me that you should have a look into this document:

Haven't thought of visibility conditions. I'll try that out, thanks!

Hi Tilman,

I think this isn't possible in VC.

It just isn't possible to switch layers automatically, it always needs some kind of user interaction.

You could try to achieve thesame kind of functionality without layers but with the visibility conditions, the solution isn't perfect but in some situations it could do the job.
