i think their is no difference between them BIC is part EDI adapter . you can wirte BIC modules in ur Sebburger EDI adapter

Hi, well there is a little difference in my pov.

The BIC Mapping Designer (also in the BIC-Package) is used to create XML-Representations of EDI-Formats. It also generates Mappings between XML&EDI and vice versa. These documents are used be the BIC Adapter which can be used as a module inside the cc OR can also be used as a standalone Adpater. Seeburger recommend to use it as a module.

A Seeburger Adapter offers the functionality to connect to a business partner just like the other Adapters of the XI do. But the Seeburger Adapter covers functionality in e.g. using special EDI-Protocols like AS2, OFTP....

If u want to send EDI-Messages via EDI-Protocolls you have to use both solutions, the BIC-Adapter (also called "Generic Adapter") and the Seeburger Adapter. Funny is that it is not clear inside SAP-Pricelist that you have to buy both Adapters under these circumstances

Seeburger EDI adapter is the B2B EDI adapters.Seeburger EDI adapter are the different types of adapters,<b>1)BIC 2)Split997 3)AS2 and 4)AS1</b>.

<b>SAP BIC</b>: it is used for the convert the EDI to XML and XML to EDI for this transformation done bye the BIC mapping designer

If your edi file converts with BIC mappers then you would have to use BIC adapter or BIC modules, i hope BIC modules, next EDI Adapters see the below links to get more details..
