Not able to delete Business Parter

Hello All,

We are making use of service desk for our daily SAP issue reporting/management.

However we have bunch of unnecessary Business Partner Ids. Now we want to cleanup all those unnecessary Business Partner IDs.

We are trying to delete these BP via transaction code BUPA_DEL or report BUPA_TEST_DELETE but unable to delete the error message looks like

Business partner XXXX still used in business transactions

The business partner which we are trying to delete is no longer working with us but he had assignment of the tickets as a processor. We are unable to modify finished tickets due to its status.

We tried to release the reference via report "RSBCS_ADDRESS_REFERENCE" but still problem persist.

can you guide us how to move further in this regards...

It is said that

"In 7.1 it is not supported to delete incidents (transaction type SMIN)"

And if you still wants to delete them,you may test with report. CRM_ORDER_DELETE.As the report is from CRM.

Note 611295 - not recommended for productive system so it will at your own risk.

Hi Amol,

if you carefully read the Deleting Business Partners - SAP Business Partner - SAP Library SAP given hint for removing the checks for already used BP.

In both cases, the system checks beforehand whether the business partners intended for archiving are still being actively used in the system. These checks are defined in the BDT event DELE1. You can also define other checks here.

I suggest you to debug the program and remove the reference checks which checking the BP usage in tickets, later run the program, should archive the BP..

Refer comment from Rishu. Might be helpful.

But try in dev system before.

Hi Amol,

You may try the below approach -

Archive / Delete closed Incidents using below SAP Notes# -

1758090 - Archiving Solution Manager Incidents

1771948 - Variant wrong for delete report CRM_ARC_SRQM_INCIDENT_DELETE

Then you can try again to delete business partner using transaction code BUPA_DEL or report BUPA_TEST_DELETE
