SAP PI is up or down

Hi all,

We are getting file from third party system to SAP R/3 through SAP PI. We are not able to receive the file if SAP PI System is down.

How do we track whether SAP PI system is down or up from SAP R/3.

Is there any function modules or proxy ?

Regards,

Sudheer.

Sudheer,

You can test the connection in SM59. Go the connection of the PI server and do Connection test.

is it possible through RFC's Connections.

Sudheer,

You can try the FMs mentioned in the thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/1324235

Hi Sudheer,

Check this thread.

http://scn.sap.com/thread/1324235

However, a system outage is a remote possibility in a production environment and are usually broadcasted to the wide community for awareness so business would know that a system is down.

Hope it helps!

Hi Ambarsih,

We are using web services also. like Third party system-SAP PI- Web services -SAP R/3.

Do we need to create RFC's
