SAP IQ and Hadoop license

Hello,

In order to use Apache Hadoop and accessing Data In HDFS using Java and /or C++, is it necessary to purchase  an additional license( In Data Base Analytics option).?

According to user manual some  UDFs would need it but I'm no sure every other may require it

No, the JAVA UDFs don't need a license.  The license only applies to the C/C++ interface.

You can also access Hadoop via HIVE.  Check out this paper on doing that:
