Hi All,
I have a SOAP to Proxy Sync scenario. I want to use the Fault message while R3 connection issue occurs. I have made WSDL using the below XML
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?><!-- Call Adapter --> <SAP:Error SOAP:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category><SAP:Code area="INTERNAL">DESTINATION_NOT_FOUND</SAP:Code><SAP:P1>D01CLNT536_H1</SAP:P1><SAP:P2>DX3</SAP:P2><SAP:P3/><SAP:P4/><SAP:AdditionalText/><SAP:Stack>HTTP destination D01CLNT536_H1 missing (system , transaction SM59)
</SAP:Stack><SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry></SAP:Error>
1. Impoered to a External Defn and usied in both inbound (Proxy) and outbound (SOAP) Interface
2. Done Message mapping for Fault message
3. used the opwration mapping
while I am sending message from SOAP UI , during Fault its not generation the same message.
in the responce I am getting same SOAP message before using the Fault message. Please let me know how to use fault mapping for SOAP to Proxy Sync
Hi Tanmaya,
Couple of things I want to mention:
1. You can not trap connection failures between PI to SAP with Fault message type. It is used to capture Application Errors, not System Errors.
2. You need to configure Alerts to get the notifications for System / connection failures.
3. SAP Team needs to use Fault type in their ABAP method so that you get back Fault message in PI. Follow the below blog of Shabarish to check SAP side steps:

Tanmaya,
Make Sure you have Populated Fault Message in your Service Interface. Once Fault Message is included in Service, regenerate the Proxy class in ECC and build a logic in ECC to populate Fault Structure in case of Application Exception.
Fault Messages can only Capture Application Error, For System Error as Mentioned by Nabendu, you have to rely on Alerts.
