srm User interface - change settings : Error in role assignment

Hi Gurus,

Users are facing issue when they are changing settings in the SRM user interface site .

Go to SRM user interface SIte --> Change my settings --> change date format or decimal format .

When they save it --> Gets an error - error in role assignment .

What can be the issue. It's same in Dev and qa .

you wrote there is an error message: what is its wording?

Is it message BBP_UM_UI, number 106?

What is the role of the user that is getting the mentioned error, check the role assignment in PFCG, check the bbp component

you did not answer to my question...

If you do a where-used for message number i gave you, you will find two message calls in methods from /SAPSRM/CL_PDO_MO_USER_ACCOUNT class.

Put a break-point to check if one of them is done. Problem cannot be due to missing authorization as there is no data in SU53 for concerned user.

Hi

Go to Su3 -> Change defualt values --> Change date format .

Same activity user is doing in the SRM interface -- > Change settings -> edit --> Change date format --> save.

Format getting saved , but error is coming : error in role assignment,

BBP component is fine. User is having access to su3 access in backend as well.

check for corresponding single role if fields for S_USER_GRP object from BC_A object class have correct values.

please check whether the user has the privilege to change date and decimal format, generally these settings are one time settings at organizational level
