Hi,
We have implemented CHARM for our ECC landscape DEV/QAS/PRD and solution manager 7.1 SPS10.
Once the request for change is created and approved and released for development. Developer puts it in development and once the development is complete when he is trying to "PASS changes to test" the process runs for some time and gives the following message.
"Not all the transport request yet Released"
"Status was reset by System"
But when I check all the task under the transport request are released. Once I select the "recheck transaction" and try to change the status second time to "Pass change to test" and successfully releases and import the request to QAS system.
Not sure why it is not doing the first time and second time when I am doing the recheck transaction and try again it works perfectly fine.
please help in resolving the issue.
Regards
Alam.
Hi Alam,
It rarely happens to us also, especially when if the TRs are released with some errors in it or when TR takes long time to actually import in target systems & solman does not wait for getting the TR status from this target systems.
Thanks

For all guys facing this or similar issue with consistency checks behaving strange - read the reply by Sid Bharadwaj above.
It seems that there is a bug in SP10 : when copying SMMJ into ZMMJ the consistency checks execution time does not copy - this is messing up the CHARM actions.
Consistency checks are running in 2 steps: Regular and Final, it needs to be setup correctly for each CHARM action, but by default it is Regular.
So just compare to SMMJ and adjust ZMMJ accordingly.

i am not sure how you guys fixed the issue. But i encountered the same error and on investigation i found that some entries were missing for ZMMJ.
SPRO --> SAP Solution Manager --> Capabilities --> Change Request Management --> Change Request Management Framework --> Make Settings for Change Transaction Types --> Define Execution Time for Consistency Checks (ZMMJ)
i compared the entries for SMMJ and updated for ZMMJ.
The issue was resolved after the change.
In addition add auth key SMMJ_02 for Auth object B_USERSTAT to the user performing the activity.
thanks,
sid

Hi Alam,
This issue will arise when the TR taking more time to release the object, if the time out. will get the error warning message.
once the CD is refresh error will disappear.

Hi Dan, Laxman and Karthik,
Just an FYI I am using Solman 7.1 SPS 10 and the issue I am facing is in urgent change (ZMHF).
I checked the define execution time of the action for ZMHF it does not have RELEASE_ALL option only the Normal change has the RELEASE_ALL option.
Karthik - Transport release is taking a little longer but it is not timing out. I check dialog wp timeout and also ST22 dump I don't see any dumps. After it gives the message "Not all transports are released" when I check the transport both the task and request are released.
It looks like a timing issue were before the manage system informs the solman system it is throwing the message.
Please help.
Regards
Alam
Karthik,
To your question
* sub-task is released in the main TR?
Once the developer changes the status from "In Development" to "Pass change to Test". It runs for around 25 to 30 seconds and gives a message.
Not all the transport request are released.
when I checked in the manage system I see the task and transport request both are released. and again I do the recheck transaction and again "pass change to test" it imports in QA.
Technically once we change the status to "pass change to test" the urgent change should be automatically released and import to QA.
Regards
Alam
Hello Sir,
The task "Pass change to Test" has a below prerequisite -
Only the child TR(s) needs to be manually released by its owner(s) in the system using transactions SE01/SE09.
Parent TR needs to be left as-is.
Once this is done, then try "Pass change to test", else this functionality just does not work & keeps resetting the status to In Development.
This action releases the parent TR & imports it to QAS system.
Also please use the refresh button located in the TR section, after releasing the child TR & before selecting task "Pass change to Test". This will save you a lot of errors related to inconsistencies.
Also, please make sure that your user IDs in the DEV/QAS/PRD systems are same as being used in SolMan system (as Trusted RFCs are used) & have authorization for objects S_RFC & S_RFCACL. Otherwise this also causes some issues while trying to import TRs using action "Pass change to Test".
Best Regards,
Tanmeya
Hi Alam,
You need to change the Execution time of the actions.
Goto SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > SAP Solution Manager > Capabilities (Optional) > Change Control Management > Standard Configuration > Change Request Management Framework > Actions in Change Request Management -> Determine execution time of Actions.
Here for the status "To be Tested" change the Time to "0 Execute Before Checks".

Laxman

Hi Daniyar,
Thanks for the reply. Just to let you know we are on Solman 7.1 SPS10 and the issue I am facing is for urgent change. When I go to SPRO and check for "Define execution time of action" for ZMHF I don't RELEASE_ALL for urgent change. This is only available for normal change.
