SOFTWARE UPDATE MANAGER 1.0

Hi Guru's,

I have recently downloaded SUM 1.0 SP 10 here are the steps I followed

1. I went to service.sap.com/sltoolset

2. SL Toolset >> Software Logistic Toolset 1.0

3. Under System Maintenance -- Software Update Manager 1.0 -- <link> Download (SUM) <link>

4. after clicking download SUM, another window opens (SWDC)

5. then I clicked Software Update Manager 1.0

6. Then Support Packages & Patches appears then I clicked it

7. I chose the OS I'm running

The thing is, It showed me patches and not the actual installer.

Then I went to service.sap.com/swdc

Installation & Upgrades >> A-Z Index >> S >> SL Toolset >> SL Toolset 1.0 >> Installation

It showed me just 1 downloadable file CTS_Plug_200: Add-on Installation

I am lost. I cannot find the actual installer of SUM.

Please help!

what am I going to do with that?

That is exactly what I need right now to be able to import my Enhancement Package to transaction SAINT. Can you assist me on where I can find it? I've already downloaded the patches, but I cannot find the installer itself.

Is it abap system or java system..

If it  is only plugin you want or patches as well.

ABAP System.. I need the main installer (is it the plugin you are calling?) of the SUM with the latest PL & SP as well..

Hi Maix,

thanks for confirming that it's abap system. For every component like abap, basis, st-pi, HR, ea-hr...... the main component is called as plugin which is installed using tcode SAINT in client 000

once you download the right component you can uncar (unzip) and upload on server once that done you have to go to tocde saint and have almost 5 steps to apply it.

Need to take backup if much of plugins and patches. All depends upon the priority of server.

I have already imported the components in transaction SAINT in client 000 under user DDIC, but when I am clicking "START", a pop up window appears and saying that I have to use an Enhancement Package Installer to import the queue (which is not relevant because EHPI is already replaced by SUM). please help me!

So I assume you are importing a newest package.. What component are you importing ?
