I am new to VC - how would I perform a submit event on open form?
yes I would like to do a submit when the VC application is started. I tried using the start event, but couldn't determine how to add that event.

Hi John,
I guess what you want to do is you want to have a submit button on your form, which when clicked will submit the values in your form to the next screen.
If this is what you are trying to do, then please follow these steps:
In your form you must have added some input fields and all. Just like you added those, add a PushButton from the available controls. Go to the Layout tab of your storyboard. Place this button on the form as you like. Then right click on this button, and click on properties. When the properties dialog box has opened, go to the Action tab. Now choose Action Type as System Action. From drop down of System Action, choose Submit Form. If this is done correctly, then Apply To field would have Self written in it, and Action Code will have Submit written in it automatically. Click Close, and now deploy your model.

Hi John,
I don't know exactly what you mean, do you mean a submit when the VC application is started ? then you can try using a start point.

André
