Hi All,
I am working on a IDoc to file scenario.
Requirement is to collect all the Idocs in a single message and create one file for entire day.
Can we use Idoc packaging feature on SAP PI end with out making any changes on Sender system.
thanks and regards,
Praveen T
Hi Praveen
To enable IDoc packaging, on the sending SAP system, you need to set the partner profile's Output Mode to "Collect IDocs". Then you need to schedule program RSEOUT00 to run once a day to trigger all the collected IDocs to PI.
Do take note that the limit of the IDoc packaging is the smaller number between the IDoc Package Size in the sender IDoc channel and the Pack Size in the Partner Profile setting.

Hi All,
There is no need of changing the IDoc's occurrence in ESR. I have done it in PI 7.3 & it works fine without changing the occurrence.

Hi Praveen,
You can use IDOC packaging for this...
But please make sure that you have to maintain iodc pacakge size same in both we20 and sender IDOC communication channel.....
suppose if there are 5 idocs for every day... please mainitn packsize 5 in both the location.... then for entire 5 idocs it will create 1 file for that day...
for this in ESR u have to change the occurence of IDOC that what sap pi suggested....

Hi Praveen,
For Idoc packaging, from ECC side in We20 We need add the Idoc Package size the number of Idocs Means how many idocs in One XI Message and Select Collect Idocs Tab and from PI Side In the sender Idoc Adapter you find an Option called Multiple Idocs in one XI Message, select that option.
Also from ESR side you need to import the Idoc Structure and Modify the Idoc node occurences as o.. Unbounded so that Mulitple Idocs can be Converted into Single XI Message.
Thanks & Regards
Thirupathi.
