Solved: EDI 820 to IDOC Sample Mapping Needed

Hi,

The inbound 820’s come in a flat file daily with multiple records. They are in X12 format. My task is to parse the file and convert the data from X12 into IDOCs to be processed in SAP.

I am spending a lot of time just trying to understand all the segments and mapping them to the equivalent segments in IDOC. Do you have any sample mappings that you can provide me? Without any mapping tools, how extensive or difficult is this? We have to process 810 inbounds and 820 inbounds for 25 different partners each. We also have one outbound message, 810R, going to just one partner.

Any advice on how I can get this done highly appreciated! Thanks in Advance

Get Seeburger EDI/AS2 adapter or at the very least Itemfield Conversion agent. You're banging your head against the wall otherwise and leaving an awful mess for someone to deal with after you've moved on.

Hi Srinivas,

First you need to instal Seeburger BIC and then you should generate the XSD structure of the all yor documents.In Sebbburger BIC mapping designer is generate thes type of all the mappings1)E2X----EDI to XML and X2E ---XML to EDI.After getting the XSD of your document type then you import into IR in External deffination.some more information regarding the Seeburger below.

Seeburger adapter is the B2B EDI Adapter.Seeburger adapter is also many types adapters:

1)BIC Adapter

2)Split997 adapter

3)AS2 adapter.

Based on your usage you have to configure thes adapter.for example

<b>AS2 sender adapter</b>:

1)AS2

2)Asynchor MDN Setting:

a)SSL Certificates and Clint certifactes.

b)SSL host name:HTTP Timeout,MDN Retry interval and MDN Retry count

c)use proxy

<b>AS2 Receiver adapter:</b>

a)HTTP:server ,port ,url and http time out

b)proxy:

c)AS2:Compress,Sign.Encrypt,Sign MDN use proxy and Xi Message

Seeburger Adapter have more funcations:it is very good to Moniter Message.

1)Archiving

2)Message monitor

3)message Spliter

4)Mapping Variable

5)Resource manger
