Editing the Index Page of NWBC & background Image

Hi all experts,

In the index page of NWBC we can read "Here you can find all the information about your business".

Is it possible to edit in our own way.? If so, how can we do that.?

Also how to add a background image to index page & newtab page.?

Is it possible through the table NWBC_CFG.?

Hello Namsheed again,

for editing the message fill in the following in NWBC_CFG:

IDX = 002 (I think you dont added some new since the logo)

COCKPIT = *

NAME = WELCOME_MESSAGE

LANG = *

VALUE = "The Text you want to add. For things like name or client see the table at this site"

For the background image you need the UI Add-on that's something you can´t do in the NWBC_CFG.

I haven't added anything after logo

And thanks once again. Welcome message is also working fine.

Regarding background image, I think UI Add-on is there in my system.

Which level of UI Add-on is required.? How can I check the status of UI Add-on in my system.

Somehow I need to achieve this background image. Pls guide me on this too.

First of it's always the best to have the current version available. It is UI add-on 1.0 SP 8

You can check this by going to System -> Status -> Component information, there you see the installed components.

I am not working with the UI ad-on at the moment so i can't help you much but I have some notes and descriptions that might help you.

The component information of my system is shown below. Do I need to ask basis team to update UI Add-on or the current version is enough for setting background image in NWBC.?

In the NWBC_CFG, We tried WELCOME_MESSAGE, BRANDING IMAGE & BRANDING URL.

Can you give me a small explanation in Lehman  language what is the purpose of remaining. I tried reading from help.sap. Couldn't get it.

Hi Namsheed,

Im just using the ones you already know plus LOGOFF_URL and THEME_NAME.

With the first you can set a URL wich is opened after logoff and with the second one you can activate sap_corbu for NWBC for HTML.

sap_corbu is only for HTML.?

If you know any other functionality or modification that can be done in NWBC Desktop, Kindly share with me. I am gonna handle our SAP HANA Implementation Project in NWBC.

The NWBC 4.0 has corbu by default.

With the sap_corbu in NWBC_CFG you activate this theme in NWBC for HTML.

At the moment there isn't other functionality I am working with in NWBC.

But when I have more for you I will let you know

Hi Pascal,

Some more requirements.

In the earlier part of this thread you shown me how to edit "Here you can find all the information about your business".

In that space the requirement is Welcome "Username".

So dynamically whoever opens the NWBC, their name should come.

How can we do this.??

Hi Namsheed,

you have to add e.g. "Welcome &NAME&" or "Welcome &FULL_NAME&".
