Addition of new material at sales order level into the existing BOM

Hi

I want to substitute one BOM component at sales oreder level and delivery level in the BOM (Sometimes primary BOM component is not in stock).

Is it possible? If possible then how to configure it?

try material determination (replace a material in case of Qty not being there). Maybe this can work after the initial BOM has exploded.

Hi Ramesh,

Not sure the exact scenario and your query is also not so clear.

However, to answer part of it - Yes, even if we don't have the main item in stock, we can manage with the BOM and sub items will have the logistics covered for it (Item Cat Gp - to be referred is ERLA).

Please let me know for any further specific queries in this regard.

Hi Ramesh,

Have you try to test the scenario, if yes then have you faced any issue?

Becoz as per my understanding if you are using ERLA item category then price is appear for main item and if you remove one component and add another one then I dont think it will give you any error.

Please confirm, have you faced any error
