WAS 6.20 and Unicode

Hi to all!

Just a question: I have a new installation of R/3 Enterprise with WAS 6.20. Is my system an unicode system or I must install a plug-in for the unicode?

Hi Simon,

It is possible to have a unicode system from WAS 6.20. But at the time of installation you need to install the unicode kernel, WAS 6.20 has both unicode and non-unicode kernel's. If you just want to check, you have an option in txn SM59 where you can define an RFC destination for your own system and press the button "Unicode Test".

With SM59 now I know that my system is not a unicode system.
