Deletion of empty trips from SAP system

Hi Friends,

The user has created some empty travel expenses, not sure how those were allowed.

Deletion of these trips is not possible because we get an error message saying "No personal data between 00.00.0000 and 00.00.0000".

When we try to change any of these trips then the error message "Infotype '0001 'does not exist for 00.00.0000" is displayed. Since these are not proper trips, these can't be seen in any of the Travel transactions for example PR05.

The tables that we came across were PTRV_HEAD and PTRV_PERIO with entries for these trips.

Please advise how do we delete these trips from the system.

Hi Vish,

please check data from Employee in transaction PA30 (or PA20 for display)

I think master data are missing.

Hi Sigi,

There's no master data missing. The user has been able to create trips successfully. It's just few of the trips that got created with missing travel expenses. If you noticed the error message mentioned is for date "00.00.0000" which is weird. From master data point of view the user has all the relevant info types present as on today so the question is how do we remove these trips from the system

OK if you have problems with corrupted trips just use report RPTTDORL (please read carefully the documentation)

Hi Sigi,

We had checked RPTTDORL and for this we need to modify the program. The issue of empty trips is in the production system and can't be replicated in our test/quality systems hence we won't be able to do it directly in production. Though we tried it in test mode it said please modify the program.

We came across a FM - TRIP_PERIOD_DELETE but couldn't find much documentation online.

Are you aware of this FM and it's use, will it be helpful in our case?

We made a custom program from report RPTTDORL and were able to delete the empty trips from the system. Thanks Sigi for the help.
