Shopping cart approvers are picked from ECC

Hi Experts,

we are working in SRM 5.0,

our approvers are maintained in ECC and the logic is built to pick the approvers .

please advise on the below queries.

1. we are unable to view the approvers in approval preview before the SC is ordered , can see approvers in approval preview only when the SC is ordered and workflow is triggerred.

2. SC at item level i:e, item 1 & 2 created using CC AAA & item 3 & 4 created using BBB.

    what workflow to be activated and any BADI to used to achieve this.

we are new to Application controlled workflow. its really urgent.

Hi Kumar,

even if  your approvers are determined in ECC, they must present in SRM.

As for 2 - you should use BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI BADI for approver determination.

how about escalation, when approve doesn't approve even after 48 hours for SC item level.

it should escalate to next level. please advise.

what do you mean with escalate: next workflow step or new approver for the same workitem?

Hi Konstantin,

SC is created and awaiting approval by manager A. manager A doesn't approve the cart with in 2 days then SC should go for approval to manager B

Hi Kumar,

Escalation piece you also need to put in BADI which Konstantin Anikeev mentioned above.  How exactly you are determining from ECC? Are you using the HR hierarchy to determine approver? If so then you can easily determine escalation piece based on the Chart of Authority of HR.

We are determining approvers from ECC using Rule : PFAC

Please advise on the below.

1. Approval preview not working before the SC is ordered ?

2. any suggestions on approval preview is really appreciated.

I think, in your case, it is the easiest way to write a customer report and plan it as a job.

Please check, you approver determination not based on values from database.

Until SC is ordered you do not have the values there.

Try to save a shopping cart (do not order) and check if preview is available.

This issue only occurs as we are picking approevrs from ECC.

after saving the SC and check the preview also cannot see the approvers.
