Avoid STRs shipment on a non working day

Former Member

Dear All,

We have a requirement that optimizer should not generate STRs that are shipped on Saturdays or Sundays [which are non-working days]

For this we maintained a shipping calendar where Saturdays and Sundays were holidays/non-working but optimizer did not take it into consideration since GI duration was not maintained.

We have also maintained a factory calendar with downtime on Saturdays and Sundays and attached it to the outbound handling resource to ensure

no STR is shipped on Saturdays and Sundays but still optimizer creates STR being shipped on Saturday.

If we maintain GI duration, then STR lead time increase by the GI time. How can we ensure STRs are not shipped on saturdays and sundays without

maintaining any GI time?

Appreciate your expert response here.

Thanks in advance,

Arshdeep Singh

Hi Arshdeep,

I also agree with Mukesh Kumar. If you do not maintain time stream calendars system can not identify working days. Time Streams can be genrated based work days and holidays from factory calendars.

If you assign at transportation lanes level it will be applicable to that TL only. Assign it to Shipping calendar of Plant in Calendars tab. It will be applicable at plant level.

Thanks,

Bala.

Create the time streams based on the factory calendor. Time streams should be maintained for working days (e. g. Monday to Friday). Assign the time streams in the transportation lane as "Transp.Calendar" in Means of transport.

Hi Ajay,

Thanks for your reply.

I have gone through OSS Note 1989010, It is related to "SNP stock transfer order has different GI/GR working days" , but we have issue with STR.
