HA License Issue

Hi All,

In our landscape for HA system installation we have followd active-passive scenario. We have installed license for primary DB server. Here we need to know that do we have to install license for seconadry node as well. Please clarify.

Hello

If you are talking about the license for the SAP system then you need to request for the license key at http://service.sap.com/licensekey

You need to request for the license key based on the hardware key.

If the hardware key is different for node A and node B then you need to request the license twice.

To install the license you do NOT need to do a failover.

Hi Sunny,

Yes. You need to install SAP license for secondary sever as well.

You may failover your SAP system to secondary node and apply relevant license.

Ensure license is applied for both the nodes to ensure users can login even after failover.
