Is versioning available in SUM tool?

Hello All,

Like we have an option to switch versioning ON in SPAM tool (Create Object Versions during Import), do we have a similar functionality while doing maintainance using SUM tool?

Hello Sarim,

SUM does not offer the possibility to switch versioning ON for object versions.

Could you provide any reference (SAP Note/Documentation/Product manual) which could verify this?

We are working in an  environment where we are supposed to use versioning while upgrading a system.

That is a very good question !

I've been through the SUM guide and was not able to find any reference on that point.

I'm not sure that setting TP parameter VERS_AT_IMP to ALWAYS would make it with SUM as it already has no impact on SPAM...

Hope someone has the answer !

Hi,

Even I was wondering that, But SUM uses its own temporary tp profiles during different phases of the upgrade, and generally tp parameters from the main tp profile are not inherited to those profiles.
