Error in Information Steward when viewing data on Views (Data Insight)

In SAP Information Steward -> Data Insight ->

Project -> Views -> for example

selecting "Customer Master Company Code KNB1" -> view data

brings this error message:

Im not sure if the rfc connection to the SAP ERP is functional because this error appears:

Error Details ERROR: program SAPDS not registered

Error Details LOCATION: SAP-Gateway on host xxxxxxx /

Viewing data from tables is working but viewing data from views gives errors above.

Any ideas ?

I must have, because I can "view data" from a view through Data Services.

How many columns do u have in View, if more columns are there, remove some columns and then try for viewing data.

I copied the MARA view and removed colums till only a few left:

As the error says: RFC-CallReceive and Function /BODS/ABAP_RUN: RFC_ABAP_EXCEPTION

could it be wrong connection setting or in the ERP System something faulty ?

Did you installed SAP Transport files in SAP system from where you are trying to import table and view data?

Hi Robert,

Generally, the DS and IS systems can't communicate directly with SAP systems, so SAP provided Function Modules along with Data Services product in the form of Transport Files which we need to import into SAP server before communicating. This enables BAPI interface for DS & IS to communicate with SAP systems.

You will find these transports in ADMIN directory of DS installation directory, with the help of BASIS team we have to import these into SAP server.

well that makes sense, I did't see the transport files you mentioned in the Transport Queue in the

ERP system.

But, in KB 1971036 it is explained that the newer transport files should be imported from

OSS Note 1916294 after deleting the functions /BODS/BODS. (see attachment)

Do you think I should import first the transport files from the Admin

directory, then reimport those from note 1916294 or not ?

Either you can import the file in Admin directory or the file in SAP note mentioned above.

the problem is not solved, an OSS message was raised.

Please also uses an incident message to get the transport files, that`s the official way.
