Hi,
Has anyone seen this before? Any advise?
I want to upgrade SolMan3.1 to Solman4.0.
I opened up the the Upgrade Assistant GUI via IE and it runs fine.
Then I go to the top Menu and select: Administrator --> Connect UaServer to SAPup.
I then get some Java type error popping up:
msg.adapator.0001. SAPup
msn.net.0001 localhost 4240
msg.diag.0002 java.net.ConnectException Connection refused
(errno:239)
Did you START SAPup before? via
- Start PREPARE
or
- Start Upgrade

Quick response! Thanks!
The steps so far:
/tempSOS/cd/51031485_1/SAP_CRM_UM/PREPARE
This uncompressed and created the necessary files in: /usr/sap/put
Then I patched SAPup to 700.2.
The I started the UaServer and set the password:
/opt/java1.4/bin/java -cp /usr/sap/put/ua/ua.jar UaServer
Then in IE:
Then click on:
Start Upgrade Assistant GUI
This starts the GUI and I then enter my name, phone number and password as requested and then the GUI fully opens to where I can then select Administrator ->Connect UaServer to SAPup, and then I get the 'Connection refused' pop-uop.

Yes - that´s why I mean. You can´t connect to "SAPup" if you haven´t started it yet.
Use "Start PREPARE" if you´re at the beginning of the upgrade.

It normally helps to read the documentation properly rather than than skimming over it...
Thanks, it is working now!
