SAP PAYROLL Configuration

Hi Experts,

I am new to SAP Payroll configuration.

But I have knowledge in configuration of

  • Payscale Structure
  • Creation of Wage Types
  • Payroll Organisation
  • Payscale grouping of allowances.

Please help me how to configure the below case(Just a small example)

  • I will put the annual Salary in system through pa30
  • System should automatically calculate
    • Basic Pay
    • HRA
    • Traveling Allowance- 800/-
    • Medical Allowance- 1250/-
    • Other allowance- Gross salary-Basic Pay-HRA-Travelling allowance-Medical allowance.

Please help me with the configuration steps asap.

Please go thru below thread:

Normally most of the components takes base as Basic pay for calculations.

Basic can be maintained in IT 0008 directly or can be defaulted using Payscale structures and Indirect Evaluation defined in Wage type characteristics.

From that you can maintain HRA as percentage of basic using V_T539J table. You can also maintain it thru IT 0581.

Transport & Medical can also be defaulted using Payscale structures.

Annual Salary help Text from Std system for your ref pls read below

Annual salary

Annual salary from an employee's basic pay.

Use

The amount in this field appears in the Basic Pay (0008) infotype in different ways:

Screens 2010, 2013, and 2043:
The system calculates the annual salary from the period salaries and vice versa depending on the field in which you enter or change an amount. The calculation is based on the settings you have made in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Administration, process step Define Annual Salary. In the standard system, this is valid in USA, Canada, and Australia, for example.

All other screens:
The field is simply an input field that you can use for comparative purposes. The system does not calculate the annual salary from the period salaries or vice versa.

Dependencies

In the standard system, this field is not taken into account in Payroll .

Hi Experts,

Thanks everyone. with your valuable comments, I was able to configure the basic payroll as the details mentioned by me in my 1st email.

Just help me with few more clarifications.

What is the purpose of

  1. Calculate Eligibility for RAPS
  2. Maintain Extra Eligibility criteria for RAPS


With out maintaining these 2 nodes, I was not getting the desired result.
