Hello
I want to know weather we can directly restore DB(oracle) from ERP 6.0 to ERP 6.0 ehp7?
or we need to restore on ERP 6.0 and then do ehp upgrade?
It is possible to do a database restore but that won't be enough as the database backup of an EHP7 system will not run with an old version of the kernel. ERP 6.0 EHP7 is based on NW 7.4. Also another issue I can think of is with the profile as there is no START profile for systems based on NW 7.4.
The best option would be to restore the database with the same EHP level and upgrade the system to EHP7 which will take care of all the above issues.
And please let me know where can i find Installation guide for ERP 6.0 for solaris OS.?

which ever option you select you have to perform the ehp upgrade as once you restore the DB (from 6.0) (which contain everything) your target system will be ERP 6.0

Hi Pavan,
You must restore ERP 6.0 and then upgrade to EHP7. Bear in mind that your source database is ERP 6.0 and then the target database would be ERP 6.0.
