S_ALR_87012936 wrong values in the year of asset retirement

Dear All,

running the report S_ALR_87012936 - Depreciation simulation on retired assets, it seems to provide wrong values for the year on which the retirement has been made. The year end accomulated depreciation value is not updated with the retirement action, while report S_ALR_87012041 and ANLC show the right values.

In details:

- partial sale of an asset dated July 2013

- accumulated depreciation field in Asset Explorer is not updated with the sale value. In the following example you can see the partial sale of an asset for 2013 and 2014.

- the purchase value of the asset is updated

While report in S_ALR_87012041 seems to be right:

          for 2013

      for 2014

Important: the retirement dates are all set for July 2013 (posting, document, reference date).

Is this a standard behaviour or am I missing any OSS notes?

sara,

usually in Asset Exporer sale value will not updated . Reversal of gross value and accumilated depriciation will be upadated. you can get sale value and profit or loss on asset in the report: S_ALR_87012052.

Hi Sara,

did you check AB03 and AM documets posted on this asset? Is your retirement document posted ok?

Was the proces of year end closing in AM without problems?

Like first try to recalculate depreciation for this asset ( tcode AFAR ).
