Outbound Delivery Output (picking)

Greetings,

We have a requirement to create an EDI/ALE output on outbound deliveries once they are picked complete. I have created a requirement and output type in NACE/VOFM and assigned it the procedure.

Deliveries are picked via WM transfer orders and once the TO is completed and someone goes into the delivery in change mode the output creates just fine. However we'd like the output to get create earlier, once the TO is complete and deliver is picked. Can we use VL70 or VL71 to automatically create the output  on the deliveries rather than waiting for some to goto VL02N to trigger the output creation?

Hi Joseph,

what we have been doing is create these condition records with timing 3. we have two batch jobs running every 10 minutes or so. first one converting the timing from 3 to 1 for those that are picking completed. second job also running every 10 minutes or so to process all outputs with timing 1. your solution might work but I've not done it.

By batch jobs do you mean BDCs that execute VL02n and change the output timing?

you can use BDCs, but changing from NAST level is what we did. the program searches for all messages logged in nast and do the modification there.
